Dive computers are now considered the most essential piece of gear you can own and should be the first thing you buy once you start diving. Prices have dropped significantly over the years and owning one just might save your life. As a newer diver or someone looking to get back in the water, you already have lots to learn and there is no reason to focus on features you don’t need yet. Starting off with an entry level dive computer, like the Suunto Zoop Novo is a turtley-awesome way to go!

Suunto released the Zoop in 2010, which went on to become one of the world’s best-selling entry level dive computers. The Zoop Novo is its successor and has some extra capabilities added to it!

Turtley Awesome Reasons to Buy This Product

The display is HUGE with big clear digits, making is super easy to read. It is also very durable, as its protected by a tough acrylic. You will be using this dive computer for years!

You wouldn’t wear this as an everyday watch and it may seem bulky, but that is 100% outweighed by its practicality, functionality and durability! Multiple buttons allow you to access functions much quicker. They are well spaced, so even if you are wearing thick gloves, selecting the right button is easy!

Has the five modes you will need as a standard recreational diver: Air, Nitrox, Gauge, Free, Off

Logs 140 hours of dive time and you can download the dive data to you PC or Mac. (The software for this is free, but unfortunately, Suunto doesn’t include the USB cable and you will have to buy it separately).

Great audible alarms for when you reach or pass limits such as ascent rate and the no decompression limit.

You have the ability to make personal and altitude adjustments to have a more conservative algorithm.  This is amazing and gives you more peace of mind should you have certain factors that increase your risk of DCS, such as age, obesity and/or circulatory issues.

Suunto offers a two-year warranty on the Zoop Novo, and all their dive computers. Should there be a defect with the computer within this period, you can have it repaired for free at any Suunto service centre, granted the damage wasn’t caused by improper use or diver error.

When it comes to basic safety, all dive computers are more or less created equal and you cannot go wrong with this one!!

Richelle’s Pick

“I have been using the Suunto Zoop for years and absolutely love it! It was my first dive computer and is super easy to use and navigate. I can’t say I have been overly gentle with it either, so it has definitely stood the test of time over hundreds of dives!”
